Program Overview and Rationale
The Practice Support Program is designed to co-ordinate and implement effective practice support services to all General Practices on the Central Coast. The program promotes the team approach for GPs, practice - managers, staff and nurses working together to meet and enhance common goals through the provision of:
- access to timely information and developed resources
- relevant professional development, educational activities and training
- networking opportunities
Three Practice Support Officers (PSO) work collectively to cover all general practices.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The Continuing Professional Development program aims to facilitate and provide a structured approach to education and programs to GPs. The Divisions CPD calendar is distributed monthly to all GPs on the Central Coast and through effective communication with providers and sponsors covers all local events registered with the Division.
The program also offers assistance to other providers in conductiong relevant educational sessions and workshops for GPs.
